Telegram is no longer just where traders read signals. It is also where many of them trade. With a bot you can copy a signal to your Binance account in seconds, or buy a new Solana token before most people have even seen the chart, all without leaving the chat.
The problem is that "Telegram trading bot" covers two very different tools, with very different risks. This guide explains both types, ranks the most used bots by fees, coverage and security record, and shows how to set them up without putting your whole account at risk. There is also a small calculator to see what a bot really costs you each month.
- To auto-trade signals on Binance, Bybit or OKX: Cornix is the most widely used signal bot.
- To trade tokens on several blockchains: Banana Gun and Maestro cover the most chains.
- For Solana memecoins: Trojan and BONKbot are the most popular.
- Safety first: never give a bot withdrawal rights, and never keep more in a bot wallet than you are ready to lose.
Two Types of Telegram Trading Bots

Signal bots (for exchange trading)
A signal bot connects to your exchange account through an API key. When a signal arrives in a Telegram channel, the bot reads the entry, targets and stop loss and places the orders for you. Your money never leaves the exchange. The bot can only trade with it, as long as you set the key up correctly.
This is what you want if you follow a signals channel and trade spot or futures on a centralized exchange.
DEX bots (for on-chain trading)
A DEX bot creates a crypto wallet for you inside Telegram. You send funds to that wallet, paste a token address, and the bot buys it on a decentralized exchange. Most of these bots also offer sniping (buying a token the moment it launches), copy trading of other wallets, and limit orders.
They are fast and convenient, but the bot controls a hot wallet with your money in it, and you pay a fee on every single trade.
How We Ranked Them
We looked at five things for each bot: what it is best for, where it trades, how much it really costs, its security record, and how easy it is for a normal trader to use without making an expensive mistake. Fees and features below were checked against official pages and recent reviews in October 2026. Bots change their fees often, so always confirm on the official site before you start.

| Bot | Best for | Where | Cost |

| Banana Gun | Multi-chain sniping | Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base and more | 0.5% (ETH manual) to 1% |
| Trojan | Solana trading and copy trading | Solana | About 1% |

| GMGN | Tracking and copying wallets | Several chains | About 1% |
| BONKbot | The simplest start on Solana | Solana | 1% |
1. Cornix: best for auto-trading signals
Cornix is the bot most signal followers use. You connect your exchange with an API key, add the Telegram channels you follow, and Cornix places every signal for you with the entry, take profit targets and stop loss already set. It also has DCA bots, grid bots, TradingView alerts and trailing stops.
- Exchanges: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, KuCoin, MEXC and others.
- Price: the Advanced plan starts at $32.99 per month on yearly billing, Premium at $52.99. New users get a 14-day free trial of Premium, no card needed.
- Safety: non-custodial. Your funds stay on your exchange, and the API key can be set with withdrawals disabled.
- Downside: it only trades on centralized exchanges, and it executes what the channel posts. A bad signal is still a bad trade.

2. Banana Gun: best for multi-chain sniping
Banana Gun runs Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base and MegaETH from one Telegram session, with a matching web terminal. It is known for fast first-block buys on new token launches and copy trading across chains.
- Fees: 0.5% on Ethereum manual buys, 1% on most other trades.
- Security record: in September 2024 attackers abused a flaw in its message oracle and took around $3 million from users. The team said it would compensate affected users from its treasury.
- Best for: experienced on-chain traders who move between several networks.
3. Trojan: best for Solana
Trojan is one of the most used Solana bots, with sniping, limit orders, DCA, copy trading and built-in MEV protection. It is a good mix of speed and features for people who mostly trade Solana tokens.
- Fees: about 1% per trade, lower if you join through a referral link.
- Chains: Solana only.
- Best for: active Solana traders who want copy trading and limit orders in one place.
4. Maestro: best chain coverage
Maestro is one of the oldest Telegram trading bots and supports more than ten chains. It offers auto-sniping, multi-wallet trading, trailing stop losses and anti-rug checks.
- Fees: 1% per trade, plus an optional premium subscription for extra features.
- Security record: in October 2023 a bug in its router contract let an attacker drain tokens users had approved, worth around 280 ETH. The function was removed afterwards.
- Best for: traders who use smaller or newer chains the other bots don't cover.
5. GMGN: best for copying wallets
GMGN is built around tracking "smart money" wallets. You can follow wallets that have a good history and copy their trades automatically, with take profit and stop loss on each position.
- Fees: about 1% per trade.
- Best for: traders who prefer following on-chain wallets over Telegram signals.
- Watch out: a wallet that did well last month can stop doing well tomorrow, and copying a wallet into a low-liquidity token can cost you a lot in slippage.
6. BONKbot: simplest start on Solana
BONKbot keeps things basic: buy, sell, limit orders and auto-sell, with routing through Jupiter. Part of its fees go to buying BONK.
- Fees: 1% per trade.
- Best for: beginners who want to try on-chain trading without a hundred settings.

How to Use Telegram Trading Bots Safely

For signal bots
- Disable withdrawals on the API key. Enable trading (and futures if you need it), nothing else. With withdrawals off, even a hacked bot cannot send your funds away.
- Restrict the key to the bot's IP addresses if the bot gives you a list of IPs to whitelist and your exchange supports it.
- Use a sub-account for bot trading so a bad setting can only affect the money in that account.
- Check the leverage and position size settings before the first signal comes in. Our guide on how much to risk per trade helps you pick the right size.
For DEX bots
- Use a separate wallet just for the bot, never your main wallet.
- Keep only what you are actively trading in it. Move profits out regularly.
- Export and save the private key offline when you create the wallet, in case you lose access to Telegram.
- Only open bots from the official website or X account. Fake copies of popular bots, with almost the same username, are one of the most common ways people get drained.
- Turn on Telegram two-step verification so someone who steals your SIM cannot take over the account and the bot with it.
Even the Big Bots Have Been Hacked

Three of the best known Telegram bots have suffered exploits:
- Maestro, October 2023: a bug in its router contract let an attacker take tokens users had approved, around 280 ETH.
- Unibot, October 2023: a similar router flaw, with users losing around $640,000.
- Banana Gun, September 2024: a vulnerability in its message oracle cost users around $3 million. The team said it would pay victims back from its treasury.
In each case the users did nothing wrong. That is the real lesson: with any bot that holds a wallet, the only fully safe money is money that isn't sitting in it.
Which Bot Should You Use?
- You follow a signals channel and trade on Binance, Bybit or OKX: a signal bot like Cornix.
- You trade new tokens on Solana: Trojan or BONKbot.
- You trade on several chains: Banana Gun or Maestro.
- You want to copy successful wallets: GMGN.
- You are completely new: start without a bot. Learn to place an order, set a stop loss and plan your take profit by hand first. A bot only makes you faster, it doesn't make the trades better.
Common Mistakes With Trading Bots
- Thinking the bot is the strategy. A bot executes. If the signals or the wallets you copy are bad, it loses money faster. Pick the source first: our ranking of the 20 best crypto signals Telegram groups scores each channel on transparency and real results.
- Ignoring fees. On-chain, the bot fee, network fee and slippage together can be several percent per round trip.
- Max leverage on auto-pilot. A futures signal bot with high leverage can open positions while you sleep. Understand liquidation before you let a bot trade futures.
- Clicking "bot" links in DMs. Real bots never message you first.
Bots and Bullstar Signals
Many Bullstar members connect our signals to Cornix, so every trade opens with the entry zone, take profit targets and stop loss already in place, and the stop moves to entry after TP2 with our recommended settings. You can still trade every signal by hand if you prefer.
Before you connect any bot, it makes sense to check how the signals have actually performed, whichever channel you choose. If you are still comparing providers, see our list of the best crypto signals Telegram groups. For Bullstar, our results page shows every VIP signal, losses included, and the free Telegram channel lets you watch the setups live first.
Not financial advice. Crypto trading, especially with leverage or trading bots, carries high risk. We are not affiliated with any of the bots listed here.
